(Gay) Love Fanart

After that comment Ste made and this post, Oh I had to. :) 

                              MY RANT ON THE STUG VS STENDAN ( some mention of upcoming storyline spoilers)

For the upcoming story-lines between the three I wanted to do a bit of rant on my thoughts on this. First off, I have to say, I don’t care what anyone says about Hollyoaks having ‘too many’ gays. I love this show doesn’t make it a big deal of expressing and giving gay characters real story-lines and even comes to love its interesting to watch the crazy soapy goodness they come up with regardless their pacing may be off at times. Love is love. there is not a timing on when or how a person should fall for someone.When it hits you, I don’t think it matters who it is or when it should happen, if its from a genuine place then that is all that matters. 

Now, for my rant, about the Stug and Stendan relationship. I love stendan, I always will. Kieron and Emmett just have this amazing chemistry and it is what I think attracts us all to this couple. The complexity of their relationship is just something that makes you love this pairing. I know the characters relationship is damaged. Brendan abusive nature towards Ste is the obvious factor why this relationship should not even be and well…Brendan himself could just be the reason.    I think we always see a glimmer of hope for the two cause no matter how damaged and what they done to each other, they always love each other. I think in that aspect many people can relate to their love. 

For Stug, that is just a totally flip on what Stendan relationship is. It’s sweet and pure love between two guys. Doug does not always makes the best choices but like what we can see for most of our characters, his intentions are always for good. Doug and Ste are just so adorable and blossoming relationship I can see happening. In the beginning I wasn’t sure if this would work at all but with the brilliant actors, they sure pulled it off. Stug is everything that is not Stendan and I think that aspect is what makes fans can root for Stug and see it entirely different. It doesn’t feel like a rebound, it’s fresh and varies different than what we are used to with Stendan. We also get to see Ste in a different place in his life and overall different environment. I do love Stug and I can see this be a lasting relationship (yes I said it), as fans we have to kind of see this logical. I love Brendan but we don’t know how long the actor who plays Brendan(Emmett) going to be around, it’s nice to see there is another aspect which Ste’s relationship can go down.

on the upcoming story-line I think that will be the questioning for the two (Ste and Brendan). Brendan I think, always believe no matter what hes done Ste will always be there and mostly because he knows Ste loves him. This is the hold on Ste and does not want to let that go, this is the threat I see between ste and doug’s relationship have on Brendan. If this story is going to play out like I think it is ( or should IMO), then I can see this being some juicy drama :3  If Ste really love Doug as much and is giving in to Brendan’s proposal for Doug I can see this be a threat and just quite interesting. I think Brendan does not see anyone Ste been with as a threat cause as long as he knows Ste still loves him he can allow him to be with anyone but the fact that Ste love for Doug is just as strong well this could all change that. If this is going to somehow be a stem for what changes Brendan I think it could be a strong one in that aspect. I am looking forward to the upcoming months to see this all play out.
